Former Duke of York Barracks

Our Solution-

Employed by Gratte Brothers, the irrigation system at the former Duke of York Barracks is a combination of harvested rainwater and borehole water.

The Trend BMS controls the irrigation system which pumps water from a 4m deep rainwater harvester buried beneath the sports field. The Trend system determines whether enough rainwater exists in the harvester and during dry spells keeps the harvester topped up with water from the borehole, limited to 20,000 litres per 24 hour period. The harvested water is then filtered, treated and transferred to water a storage tank. A solenoid valve is then operated to control the watering zones throughout the night.
