Matrix is well aware that the environmental conditions within a site are extremely important to the occupants; it is easy to reduce consumption by turning plant off however this isn't always a smart move. Is it worth turning cooling off during hot weather if it makes people uncomfortably hot and erodes morale? How about turning the heating off in cold weather, what if it causes pipes to free and burst?

Intelligent Demand Management preconditions a sites environment to allow for the maximum possible peak charge avoidance. It does this by cleverly capturing data from external sources (e.g. outside temperature / weather forecasts), analysing them, uses the results to predict future events and adjusts the sites plant usage accordingly.
