Matrix has extensive expertise in designing and implementing effective energy demand response programs that meet the needs of some of the UK’s largest commercial property owners. With ever increasing energy, TRIAD and DUoS charges coupled with an organisations desire to reduce energy usage Matrix has developed a leading edge solution that should be a critical part of your energy management strategy.
The site is visited by a trained Matrix engineer. While on site the engineer will determine what systems we can integrate with and agree a connection method to our Energy Management Centre. During this stage our engineer will also design a usage profile for the site taking into account a number of factors.
Once activated the site responsibility passes to our Energy Management Centre which is a blend of analysts and systems that continuously analyse the buildings performance.
Once the site is under the control of our EMC we have a number of critical services that commercially are very compelling and can have a dramatic effect on your energy usage. These services include:
Remote Active Energy Management focuses on constantly monitoring the site or plants performance against a predetermined energy efficiency profile. If the site or plant deviates from this defined profile our Energy Management Centre is notified and will immediately view the site or plant remotely to diagnose the problem and more importantly correct and return to the agreed profile. This service saves our existing clients a significant amount in energy savings and interestingly a similar amount on maintenance and call out charges.
What you pay for your energy can vary dramatically over a 24 hour period. A large number of organisations do not realise that using energy at peak times could be costing nearly three times that of off-peak. To manage this Matrix has tailored a number management plans for organisations that control and reduce the energy needed to operate a building during peak time. This service is delivered through our EMC and is currently delivering significant energy savings for some of the UK’s leading retailers.
Throughout the year National Grid relies on its partners for the provision of additional active power from generation and/or demand reduction through the ability of its partners to turn off/on plant. This scheme is more commonly known as Short Term Operating Reserve (STOR).
Matrix and its partners have a wealth of deep expertise in the design and management of effective demand response programs that meet the needs of National Grid, while at the same time, allow our clients the opportunity to maximise their income from participating in the scheme.
Clients across multiple industry segments are benefiting from using this service including Public Sector, industrial and retail. Our existing portfolio includes large commercial buildings to retailers with over 2000+ sites connected.
